Week 14: Clemson

As I prepare a belated Thanksgiving feast this Saturday, I find that the thing I am most thankful for is that this putrid football season will be over in a matter of hours. The offense that the Gamecocks have trotted out on Saturdays this fall has been shameful. The actions of the board of trustees and President Caslen have been worse. Seniors like Bryan Edwards, T.J. Brunson, Donell Stanley, and Javon Kinlaw deserved better. So did the fans that put up $50M for a new football facility. I’ll be glad to get my Sunday mornings back from next week, and look forward to my unfounded optimism slowly building again as next season approaches.
